The International Criminal Court has called for the arrest of  just a week after he was released by the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Brigade in Libya, agencies have reported. Muammar Gaddafi’s son is on the wanted list along with Al-Tihami Mohamed Khalid, the former chief of internal security during the rule of the late Libyan dictator.

According to Libya’s Al-Wasat Gate, when ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda was informed of Gaddafi’s release by the militia she called for the reports to be verified. While this is going on, she has instigated measures to identify Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi’s whereabouts.

The ICC official has called on the Libyan authorities, the UN Security Council (which turned the case over to the ICC), all states party to the Rome Statute and other countries to help in this case.

Bensouda said that Libya or any other country should arrest the suspects and prosecute them as soon as possible.
