Big terror act with 11 bombs prevented in Cairo

A big terror act with 11 bombs has been prevented in Cairo, reports TASS news agency.

"On Tuesday morning police got information about a warehouse with explosives in one residential quarter in the suburbs of Cairo. Task forces of MIA and de-miners arrived to the scene and neutralized the ammunition. Police discovered 11 handmade bombs ready for use on the scene," said a representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Egypt.

Police discovered a reservoir with over 65 kg of substances used by terrorists for bombs and grenades production. MIA said the information about the warehouse was obtained in the time of interrogation of a radical recently detained by police in the suburbs of Cairo.

"The fighter reported the location of the secret place where bombs were produced and about intention of extremists to use them in organization of a big terror act in the capital of Egypt," said the police.
