Tabnak – As the Syrian Army is being prepared for the long-awaited, decisive military operation in Idlib, the country is on the verge of a significant upheaval after seven years of brutal civil war. The army has also been busy cleaning other parts of the country from the armed terrorist groups.

In this vein, it’s reported that Almost 1,500 people left terrorist-held regions in Idlib via Abu al-Dhohour humanitarian corridor on Tuesday, heading towards regions that are under the Syrian Army's control in spite of terrorist groups' attempts to prevent the evacuation process.

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik reported that a sum of 300 Syrian families with the total number of almost 1,500 left Idlib towards regions that are under the army's control via Abu al-Dhohour corridor in Southeastern Idlib.

It further said that the corridor will be open for five days, adding that thousands of civilians that had left their regions in the depth of Idlib province to escape through the corridor were forced to return to their villages and towns as the terrorist groups are preventing their exit.

The report went on to say that the people that managed to leave Idlib said Tahrir al-Sham terrorists are arresting men, especially the youth, to prevent their escape and to force them to join the fight against the army.

The development comes as The Syrian Army forces managed to fend off a heavy attack of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) in Southeastern Idlib, inflicting major losses on the militants on Tuesday.

The army engaged in tough battle with a group of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in al-Mahjourah Battalion Base South of the town of Tal al-Toqan in Southeastern Idlib, warding off their attack. Tahrir al-Sham retreated to evade more casualties after suffering heavy casualties and sustaining damage in its military hardware.

In the meantime, the army's artillery and missile units pounded terrorists' positions and movements near the town of al-Janaberah in Northwestern Hama, and inflicted major damage on their construction machinery that were digging more trenches.

Meanwhile, field reports indicate that People in villages and towns in Northern Aleppo poured into the streets on Tuesday in opposition to the occupation of their regions by Turkish troops and their allied militants.

Al-Watan daily reported that a fresh wave of popular strikes and uprising has covered the villages and towns that are under the control of the Ankara forces in Northern Aleppo.

People in the towns of Kafr Kalbin, Kaljabri, Sajou and Azaz region staged vast strikes, calling for dissolution of local councils in their regions. Protesters were enraged by Turkish troops' corruption and brutalities in Northern Aleppo.

Over the past several weeks and after a successful military campaign in the south, the Syrian Army has been shifting toward the northwest to retake the control of the last main rebel stronghold in the country, Idlib.

Meanwhile, Ankara has been busy holding intense talks with Moscow, a main ally of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, to prevent a major strike against the rebel positions in Idlib. It seems that in case of the failure of the current diplomatic initiatives, the Army is ready to regain the control of the area via military means, as it has already done in many other regions of the country.
