
TABNAK, Sep, 14: “Chamran 1" satellite, successfully launched this morning by the "Qaem 100" satellite carrier and placed in an orbit of 550 km from the earth, sent its first signals.
“Chamran 1” research satellite was designed and built by the Iran Electronic Industries (Sairan) Space Group jointly with the Aerospace Research Institute and private knowledge-based companies.
The 60-kilogram satellite’s main mission is to test hardware and software systems to prove the orbital maneuvering technology in height and phase.
