TABNAK, Oct, 08This consignment of humanitarian supplies from Iran contains cash and non-cash donations, he said.

This large cargo was sent to Syria, he said, adding that Iran’s Red Crescent Society is ready to establish emergency accommodation camps in Lebanon.

Iran sent its first humanitarian aid cargo to Lebanon on October 4 which included a shipment containing 10 tons of food and medicine.

On September 25, Kolivand along with a team that encompassed 12 specialists and general practitioners, as well as 12 relief workers headed Lebanon.

“The rescue team including optometrists are dispatched with the coordination of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the health ministry of Lebanon to provide humanitarian aid to those injured,” he said.

Since the beginning of Israeli attacks on September 23, more than 2,000 Lebanese have been killed since Hezbollah began launching strikes against Israel a year ago in solidarity with Palestinians.

Following Israeli deadly airstrikes, the IRCS’s Head Pirhossein Kolivand, announced the society’s readiness to dispatch humanitarian aid and relief teams to Lebanon to assist the people affected by the recent Israeli attacks in the Dahiya district in Beirut.

Israel’s attacks on Southern Lebanese towns and cities are still ongoing killing more civilians there.

Earlier, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that more than 2,000 people have been killed so far in Israel’s attack on Lebanon, including 127 children and 261 women, since last October.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled their homes in Beirut to escape the Israeli air raids.
