Iran president says continuation of internet filtering not ‘acceptable’ for nation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that continuing the process of internet filtering is not acceptable for the nation.

TABNAK, Nov, 13 : Pezeshkian described the “nation’s satisfaction to be one of the main pillars of decision-making in the ruling system”, stating that “The continuation of filtering is not acceptable since it causes many dissatisfactions for the people (nation).”

 

He commanded the Supreme Council of Cyberspace to form a working group to urgently review this issue and present the final result for making a decision in the upcoming meeting of the Council.

 

“I believe that we cannot run the country without taking into consideration nations’ satisfaction and only based on our own assumptions.”

 

On October 23, Pezeshkian said that his administration is working on lifting internet curbs.
