TABNAK, Sep, 04: The sanctions were imposed on three Iranian individuals and an institution pretext of causing instablity in West Asia.
Iranian Foreign Ministry described the move as in contravention to the claims by the new British government that its policy is based on “interaction and cooperation”.
“All know that the greatest source of insecurity in the region is the Zionist occupation regime which relies on the full-scale political and military support of some self-declared supporters of stability, including Britain, in the West Asia region,” The Foreign Ministry said.
These countries’ backing for “the genocide against Palestinians by the Israeli regime” and their efforts to let “war criminal” Benjamin Netanyahu to go "unpunished" form the cornerstone of "instability and insecurity in the region.”
The British chargé d'affaires stated that he would convey the message to his government in London.
