TABNAK, Oct, 22: His remarks came after Israeli media had said the regime is bracing to respond to Iran’s retaliatory attack on October 1, which involved the launching of almost 200 ballistic missiles at military bases in the occupied territories. Multiple Israeli politicians and Zionist analysts have suggested striking Iran’s nuclear facilities and energy sites.
“In the international community we are living now, unfortunately, governments and powers pretending to support human rights and international laws, are violators of all laws and rights which they claim must be fully observed. They are supporting a regime that has displaced people from their homes,” he said, referring to Zionist regime’s aggression against Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
"European countries and the United States have armed Israel with all their might and proudly defended every inhuman crime committed by this regime, whereas people in Gaza Strip and Lebanon are after their rights and their lands,” he told reporters in a commemoration ceremony held for late Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar at Hamas bureau in Tehran.
“This is not a war that can be ended by killing people, it is a war that can be ended by establishing justice and considering all human beings, but it is not possible by coercion and killing,” he further noted.
Sinwar was found dead in southern Gaza’s Rafah city on Thursday, wearing a combat vest with an AK-47 rifle by his side. Hamas confirmed his assassination in a statement on Friday.
The leader of the Palestinian resistance movement had escaped many assassination attempts before and after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023.
Sinwar, 62, played an instrumental role in coordinating and supervising the landmark operation that jolted the Zionist regime and shattered the myth of its invincibility.
In a statement mourning Sinwar’s death, Hamas vowed his death would only strengthen the movement, adding that it wouldn’t compromise on conditions to reach a ceasefire deal with Israel.
