Iran’s president to travel to Baku next week

TABNAK, Nov, 05 : The purpose of these conferences is to review the progress made by members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in limiting climate change.

 

The 29th edition of this annual conference will be held from November 11 to 22 in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The United Nations climate change conferences are a series of annual meetings focused on climate change that have been held since 1995.

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change is an agreement signed at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in June 1992 to prevent dangerous human interference in the climate system. The abbreviation COP (Conference of Parties) means “Conference of Parties” and is the highest legislative body overseeing the implementation of the Framework Convention on Climate Change.

During the course of the event, the president of Iran is anticipated to have multiple meetings.
