TABNAK, Nov, 06 : “Armenia will never make a decision in its political, economic and security interactions or pursuing its policies to risk national interests of Iran,” he said in a meeting with a group of Iranian academics and media delegation in Yerevan.
He also said implementing ‘peace crossroad’ is a very good opportunity to reach Eurasian markets so fast. “Armenia is trying to consider Iranian interests in Eurasia and this is a fundamental matter for us.”
The proposed "Zangezur" corridor, as dubbed by Azeri and Turkish officials, would slice through Armenia's historic Syunik province, a region that has shared a border with Iran for centuries. Iran has repeatedly reiterated its opposition to the proposed corridor, emphasizing its commitment to preserve and protect its historic borders as well as geopolitical stability in the region.
Tehran voiced its opposition once again on September 06, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stating that any endangerment to Iran's neighbors' territorial integrity and its own borders is a "redline."
“Peace, security, and regional stability are not just a priority but one of the pillars of our national security,” Araqchi warned on X.
