Quds Day, officially known as International Quds Day, is an annual pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan to express support for Palestinians and oppose Israel and Zionism.
On Thursday night, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the rallies this year are of greater significance than years past and urged Iranians to participate en masse. The Leader expressed hope that this year’s rallies would be among “the best, most glorious” demonstrations.
