TABNAK, Nov, 10 : He is accompanied by a high-ranking military delegation and plans to meet with senior Iranian military officials including Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri.
The two sides are going to focus on bilateral ties and mutual defense relations between Tehran and Riyadh.
Last December, Bagheri and Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman Al Saud discussed regional developments as well as boosting defense cooperation between the two neighbors in a phone call.
Iran and Saudi Arabia signed a China-brokered deal in March 2023 to resume their diplomatic relations after they cut them in 2016.
The two sides reopened their respective embassies a few months later.
