Iran ready to assist Libya in restoring historical monuments

Iran said it is ready to help Libya restore its historical monuments and sites.

TABNAK, Feb 15: Iranian Ambassador to Libya Einollah Souri in a meeting with Libyan Minister of Culture Mabrouka Toghi emphasized Iran's readiness to develop relations with the African country in all fields, including cultural relations.

 

During the meeting, Souri reviewed the history of historical relations between Iran and Libya, civilizational history of Iran, focusing on Iranian and Islamic literature, architecture and art, and emphasized the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to restore and reconstruct historical monuments and monuments in Libya.

 

The Libyan side, for her part, stressed commonalities between the two nations and emphasized the importance of the established Persian language professorship in Libya.

Iran has numerous monuments inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Under the 2025 Tourism Vision Plan, Iran aims to increase the number of tourist arrivals from 4.8 million in 2014 to 20 million in 2025.
