Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says the United States has “no business” dictating Iran’s foreign policy, after U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran to stop supporting Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement.

“The United States Government has no authority, or business, dictating Iranian foreign policy,” Araqchi said in a post on X. “That era ended in 1979.”

Trump said on Saturday that he had ordered a series of airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and threatened to hold Iran “fully accountable” for the actions of the Ansarullah movement.

Araqchi, in reaction, pointed to Washington’s support for the Israeli regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, urging the U.S. to end support for “Israeli genocide and terrorism” and to stop the “killing of Yemeni people.”

U.S. President Joe Biden was “last year bamboozled into HANDING OVER UNPRECEDENTED 23 BILLION DOLLARS TO A GENOCIDAL REGIME,” the foreign minister wrote.

“More than 60,000 Palestinians killed and the world holds America fully accountable,” he added.
