TABNAK Mar. 17 - Mehdi Karoubi’s son, Hossein Karoubi, says his father’s house arrest has been officially lifted after 15 years, following an order from Iran’s Judiciary chief.

Former protest leader Mehdi Karoubi’s house arrest lifted: Son

Mehdi Karoubi, a prominent protest leader during post-election unrest in Iran in 2009, is no more under house arrest, his son has told IRNA.

Hossein Karoubi also said that security personnel have told his father that they will remain at his father’s residence until April 9 for security reasons.
