The Newsmax website and the Washington Examiner reported on Tuesday local time, quoting a U.S. defense official, that the Zagros had docked at the Bandar Abbas port in Iran.
Previously, Saudi media outlet Al-Hadath claimed that the U.S. had sunk the Iranian reconnaissance and intelligence ship Zagros in an attack coordinated with the Israeli regime's bombing.
The Newsmax website also wrote that this erroneous report is being published amid escalating tensions in the region.
