
Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Valerii Grigoryan has expressed Yerevan’s determination to develop relations with Tehran.
Speaking in a meeting with Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Valerii Grigoryan called for identifying the potential of the two countries and optimizing them to increase the diversity and quality of bilateral interactions in all fields.
Meanwhile, Araqchi said Iran has no limitation in expanding its relations with Armenia.
Referring to the latest developments in the South Caucasus region, as well as the Israeli violation of the Gaza ceasefire, resumption of attacks on Lebanon, and U.S. aggression against Yemen, he urged all responsible actors to use diplomatic tools to prevent insecurity and instability in different parts of the world.
Iran welcomes the joint efforts by Azerbaijan and Armenia to sign a peace agreement, and will spare no effort to accelerate the process of signing this document and its implementation, the chief Iranian diplomat added.
Araqchi underscored Iran’s principled position to preserve the territorial integrity and independence of countries and to avoid threats or resort to force.
He also emphasized respect for the international borders and preventing geopolitical changes in the mutual interests of all regional nation and their peace and prosperity.
He termed the 3+3 mechanism a good framework for continuing consultations on the developments in the South Caucasus.

Araqchi also held a separate meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Roberti Simonyan.
Roberti Simonyan appreciated Iran’s logical positions on regional developments, which are based on good-neighborliness.
He called for using diverse capacities in the two countries to strengthen cooperation in the economic fields and international corridors.
In the meantime, Araqchi underlined Iran’s readiness to develop all-out relations with Armenia.
He urged using parliamentary diplomacy capacity to enhance relations between the two countries in political, economic, and international fields.
