Parliament speaker says Iran to help Lebanon in rebuilding process  

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf who is in Beirut called for Islamic countries to condemn Zionist regime’s crimes and atrocities in Lebanon, saying that Iran would help Lebanon reconstruct Dahieh district, located in southern Beirut.

TABNAK, Oct, 12: “Islamic countries and all freedom –seeking people across the world are condemning Zionist regime’s crimes whereas international organizations and the UNSC have remained silent over the crimes and aggression,” he said.

“No doubt that Iran has always been supporting Lebanese and Palestinian nations. Our duty is to support and take care of people in Lebanon and send facilities for those wounded. We will help in rebuilding Dahieh (district),” he said.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that more than 2,141 people have been killed and 10,099 injured in Israel’s attack on Lebanon, including dozens of children and scores of women, since October 2023.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled their homes in Beirut to escape the Israeli air raids.

According to confirmed reports, he said, Israel has once again used chemical weapons in its latest attacks in Lebanon which targeted the headquarters of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

In Gaza, Israel’s war has killed more than 42,000 people and wounded at least 97,590 others, most of them women and children.

Most of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have since been displaced and humanitarian conditions have deteriorated sharply.
