New head of Iran embassy in Kabul meets with Afghan acting FM

TABNAK, Dec 10: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan published a message on its official X account, expressing that the new head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Kabul Ali Reza Bigdeli has had a visit with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Bigdeli, who has already served as the deputy consular officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has recently been selected as the head of the Iranian embassy in Afghanistan.

On November 30, Spokesman of the International Relations and Trade Development Committee of Iran's House of Industry, Mining and Trade, Ruhollah Latifi said the country’s exported non-oil commodities valued at $249 million to Afghanistan in the seventh Iranian calendar month of Mehr (September 22-October 21).

Afghanistan was the fifth export destination of Iranian goods in the mentioned month.

Iran has already proposed to launch a joint special industrial zone with Afghanistan.
