
In a meeting to coordinate the subjects of President Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit to Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday, the president received a report on the latest interactions and exchanges between the two nations, as well as the existing capacities for expanding and deepening ties.
Referring to efforts to address misunderstandings and problems in the relationship between the two countries, Pezeshkian noted that there are diverse grounds for interaction and that the two sides can enhance their level of cooperation as a result of improved relations.
He also expressed hope that, thanks to consultations and preparations, this visit will help improve collaboration among government and private bodies, as well as NGOs, in the economic, trade, cultural, tourism, and political arenas.
Various officials participated in this meeting, including the chief of staff, foreign, roads, tourism, communications, and agriculture jihad ministers, as well as the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, the vice president for political affairs, and governors from East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, Ardabil, and Gilan provinces.
