موشک‌های کروز یکی از مهمترین جنگ‌افزارهای جنگ مدرن به شمار می‌روند. این موشک‌ها با برد به شدت بالا و ناوبری دقیق می‌توانند در عمق پشت خطوط دشمن اهداف خود را نابود کنند. هرچند موشک‌های کروز در دوران مدرن به اوج عملیاتی خود رسیدند اما ایده استفاده از چنین سلاحی به اوایل پیدایش صنعت پرواز برمی‌گردد. پیش از موشک‌های کروز نیروهای نظامی برای حمله به مواضع دشمن از توپخانه استفاده می‌کردند. هرچند توپخانه قدرت آتش مناسبی دارد برد آن اندک است و بمباران با بمب‌افکن نیز به دلیل پدافند هوایی دشمن کار پرخطری است. اولین تلاش برای ساخت بمبی که بتواند بدون نیاز به خلبان به پشت خطوط دشمن پرواز کند و اهداف را نابود کند در سال 1917 شروع شد و اتفاقا بدنه این هواپیمای بدون سرنشین را یکی از برادران رایت طراحی کرد. هرچند مشکل هدایت این هواپیمای بدون سرنشین حل نشد و این پروژه منحل شد، اما تلاش‌هایی که برای رسیدن به این هدف انجام شد بعد‌ها راه را برای پیدایش اولین موشک‌های کروز واقعی هموار کرد. در این مستند که به روند پیدایش موشک‌های کروز می‌پردازد از تاریخچه شگفت انگیز این موشک‌ها بیشتر آشنا شوید.
