US President Donald Trump will not lift the existing sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korean President but he has not yet decided on the new restrictions. This was announced by the White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, reports Ukrinform.
"As for the sanctions bill, the president has very clearly stated his support for the extension of sanctions in these three countries. He does not intend to cancel them, but he wants to make sure that we can get the best option for the American people,” she said.
Sanders said this answering if Trump will sign the H. R. 3203 document that will be voted on Tuesday by the House of Representatives.
"He intends to study this draft law and see what the final version looks like,” she said.
As it was reported earlier Manafort is considered one of key figures in case of Trump's link with Russia. American investigators hope to encourage him to cooperate with regard to investigating a possible collusion between the Trump campaign members and Russia.
