Iran FM, Syria president discuss ways to stop Israeli aggression in Lebanon

Araqchi who arrived in Syria on Saturday after his trip to Beirut also discussed ways to assist Lebanon given the current humanitarian situation in the country after Israeli brutal and deadly attacks. He also met with his Syrian counterpart Bassam Sabbagh.

TABNAK, Oct, 05: “Restraining Zionist regime crimes need a collective endeavor and we continue our efforts in this field. We will have consultations and talks with our friends in Syria under the same framework,” Araqchi had said before his visit to Syria.

Israel launched a fresh airstrike on Beirut’s southern neighborhood of Dahiyeh, as the regime’s unrelenting aggression against Lebanon continues.

Several civilian buildings were the main targets of the regime’s latest strike on Friday night.

The Israeli regime had issued evacuation orders for residents of Beirut’s southern suburbs just before the strike.

Israel’s attacks on Southern Lebanese towns and cities are still ongoing killing more civilians there.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said on Friday that more than 2,000 people have been killed so far in Israel’s attack on Lebanon, including 127 children and 261 women, since last October.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled their homes in Beirut to escape the Israeli air raids.

Lebanese health officials have denounced Israel for indiscriminately attacking emergency rescuers and civilians.

Lebanon’s health minister said the country's healthcare system is teetering on the brink of collapse.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said at least 37 people were killed, and over 150 were injured in Israeli strikes on Thursday.

Israel launched several waves of airstrikes on Beirut’s southern neighborhood of Dahiyeh on Thursday.

Several civilian buildings were the main goals of the regime’s latest strikes.

Reports indicate that more bombs were used in the latest attacks compared to the strike that killed the leader of the Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on September 27.

Iran launched 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli military and intelligence targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories on Tuesday evening, signaling Tehran's readiness to defend its allies and retaliate against Israeli actions.

The retaliation came after the recent killing of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah along with the assassination of key figures including Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and IRGC General Abbas Nilforoushan.
