TABNAK, Nov, 11 :“The voting pattern of the American people is a subject that needs investigation, and of course it is related to America itself, but what is important and related to our region is the performance of the United States in relation to the region and Iran,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei.

“The fact is that over the past 4 years, the US hostile policy against Iran has continued and the US government has failed to fulfill the promises,” he said.

“More important than the American elections is the performance of this country regarding the region and the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon and its policy as to Iran,” Baghaei said.

He further referred to US support for Zionist regime. Calling it a main cause that Zionist regime is pressing ahead with its crimes and aggression in Lebanon and Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has so far resulted in at least 43,552 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 102,765 others injured, while thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble.

Israel’s merciless attacks continue despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The Israeli regime in September intensified its aggression against Hezbollah, resulting in significant loss of life and destruction, killing upwards of 3,000 people over the past year.

In late September, the regime also assassinated Hezbollah's leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a strike in southern Beirut.

Since then, Hezbollah has increased its retaliatory attacks against Israeli targets and vowed to continue its fight in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in defense of Lebanon.
