TABNAK, Nov, 18 : Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei expressed condolences over Afif’s assassination, described him as the voice of the Lebanese nation who could raise awareness and enlighten the public opinion.
The Iranian official called Afif’s assassination an aggressive and terrorist act, reiterating that the move is another sign of Zionist regime’s inhuman nature and an attempt to silence those exposing its crimes in Palestine and Lebanon.
Three other people were injured in Israeli strike in the densely populated Ras al-Nabaa district in the Lebanese capital. The building was targeted without warning. Many Lebanese displaced by Israel’s ongoing strikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs had taken refuge in the neighborhood.
