TABNAK, Jan 30: In talks with Hamas officials, the sides discussed the latest developments in Palestine and Palestinians’ victory over the Israeli regime in Operation al-Aqsa Flood.

Operation al-Aqsa Flood, launched on October 7, 2023, came in response to the Israeli regime’s intensified blockade of the Gaza Strip and the regime’s plans for a ground invasion of the Palestinian territory.

Israel was forced into agreeing to a ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Hamas, which began on January 19, and suspended its genocidal war on the coastal territory after having failed to realize its declared goals in the Gaza war, including eliminating Hamas.

The ongoing developments in the region and mutual issues are also on the agenda of the talks between the top Iranian diplomat and Qatari authorities.

In a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Tehran in November, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran puts a premium on the expansion of relations with the friendly country of Qatar.
