Baghaei comments on ongoing indirect Iran-US talks in Muscat
TABNAK, Apr 12 - Referring to ongoing talks between Iran and the US delegations, Iran's Foreign Ministry's spokesman says that Iran's real goal is securing national interest.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced this.
Baqaei said in a post on X on Saturday that the Iranian and US negotiators had been stationed at different rooms and were exchanging messages via Omani intermediaries.
According to ISNA, Baghaei noted that the Iran is a after a single goal and that is safgurding the country's national interest.
He also added that Iran intends to give a real and honst chance to diplomacy to resolve nuclear issues and remove sanctions.
Baghaei also noted that Islamic Republic of Iran has proven that it has been committed to diplomacy during th past decades and the ongoing talks is indication of Iran's will to secure its interests via diplomacy.
He said, "today is an important day to appreciate Iran's constructive approach and these talks are a test for the US seriousness."
