TABNAK, Nov, 02 : General Ahmad Shafaei, spokesman for the “Martyrs of Security” drills, said IRGC forces killed four terrorists and captured eight others.

The operation carried out in cooperation with the Intelligence Ministry’s provincial office and police forces “dealt lethal blows to the terrorist teams acting as proxies for the enemy” on Thursday night, he said.

IRGC units used sophisticated hardware and combat drones as they employed new reconnaissance and operational tactics to hit the terrorists.

One of the main elements of a terrorist group involved in a deadly attack on police forces in Taftan was among those captured, Shafaei said.

A sizable amount of ammunition and weapons was seized from the terrorists, he added.

On October 26, 10 members of Iran's law enforcement forces were killed in a terrorist attack in the Gohar Kuh district of Taftan.

The so-called Jaish al-Adl terrorist group claimed responsibility for the assault, which was one of the deadliest in the province in recent months.

The group has carried out numerous terrorist attacks in Iran, primarily in the Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Its tactics include the abduction of border guards as well as targeting civilians and police stations within the province to incite chaos and disorder.

In January, Iran launched a military operation during which the headquarters of the Pakistan-based terrorist group was targeted in missile strikes, destroying its infrastructure.
