TABNAK, Sep, 20: Israel carried out dozens of strikes on Thursday across southern Lebanon, said to be one of its most brutal attacks since the start of the regime’s invasions in October.
“The brutal air strike of the Zionist regime on Beirut shortly after the brutal and terrorist act of this criminal regime in the mass killing of the Lebanese people by misusing the means of communication is regarded as gross violation of the rules and regulations of international law as well as the sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security of Lebanon. Such moves need to be condemned by the international community in the strongest terms,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana’ani on Friday.
“There is no doubt that the Zionist regime, contrary to the demand of the overwhelming majority of the governments and nations of the world which is the necessity of establishing a ceasefire, seeks to intensify tension and develop the geography of war and conflict in the region,” he continued.
“Such an evil policy is a clear and maximum threat to international peace and security,” Kana’ani noted.
The Iranian official expressed hope that countries and governments supporting international peace and security would use the upcoming UN General Assembly session as an opportunity to take decisive measures to stop the mass killing machine of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian nation and other regional nations including Syria and Lebanon.
