TABNAK, Oct, 20: “What Iran did was self-defense,” he said referring to Iran’s October 1st missile attack on Zionist entity.

“We are ready to respond and we will respond similarly to any move. Iran is ready for all possibilities. We have made all preparations to deal with (Israeli probable) attack,” he said in an interview with Turkish broadcaster NTV, referring to Iran’s October 1st military attack on Israel named ‘Operation True Promise II’.

“Basically any threat is our red-line and will not be unanswered. We will act similarly in the same way that Zionist regime attacks (us). However, we will not be in hurry and Israel will receive an appropriate response in case of any attack on Iran,” he said, referring to Israeli threats to target Iranian nuclear facilities.

“In case of an extensive war in the region, the US would be dragged in too. We do not want this. The war can also spread to Persian Gulf countries and we certainly announce that there is a chance for diplomacy,” he warned.

Since early October 2023, Israel has been waging brutal two-front aggression that has killed at least 42,519 people in the Gaza Strip and 2,412 others in Lebanon so far.

Araqchi further referred to transferring messages between Iran and the US, saying, “There are no talks between Iran and the US. However, naturally, some messages are being transferred through some channels, but these channels do not mean negotiations.”
