Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has accused the US of transferring Daesh militants to war-torn Afghanistan in an attempt to trigger instability in Asia.

Speaking during a meeting on Thursday with Chen Zu, the visiting vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress, Larijani said the US has moved several Daesh members last year to Afghanistan with a view to taking instability in Iraq and Syria to other places in Asia, according to the Iranian parliament news agency.

Larijani asserted on the significance of cooperation between Iran, Turkey, Russia, China, Pakistan and Afghanistan in combatting terrorism.

Commenting on the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal with Iran, Larihani underlined the importance of the role of China, Russia and European countries in maintaining the convention.

For his part, Zu said that China seeks to establish long-term relations with Iran despite the current circumstances at the regional and international levels.
